Siegwerk recognizes GTI USA for outstanding logistics service

Long-time client Siegwerk awarded GTI USA with an extraordinary effort medal in recognition of our outstanding service over the last four years. GTI USA Senior Vice President of Operations Ben Sun also received a warehouse regiment medal for his efforts to improve efficiencies within Siegwerk’s warehouse and shipping departments during their SAP transition.

From its “Centers of Excellence” and Blending Centers, Siegwerk manufactures and customizes printing inks for its global customer base. A high level of service with clear communication and on-time delivery are critical to their success.

For the past four years, Siegwerk and GTI USA partnered to fine-tune Siegwerk’s entire supply chain process from vendor management, load planning, consolidation of shipments, storage and warehousing, to shipping and delivery. Siegwerk leveraged GTI USA’s managed transportation solution to accomplish several goals, including:

• Streamlining communication and activities among all departments
• Reducing dedicated fleet trucks, drivers and runs through stronger partner carrier management
• Working closely with customer service on load planning and consolidation of orders
• Reducing shipping cost through better planning tools and reducing the need for round-trip routes
• Serving as an instrumental component in the onboarding of Siegwerk’s enterprise-wide ERP system, SAP
