First superload collaboration completed between GTI USA and Precision
When one of our operating unit GTI USA’s longtime clients approached us with a unique challenge, GTI USA and Precision Specialized worked together to make it happen.

A U.S.-based global food, agriculture and bioindustrial corporation

The challenge
Other forwarders and carriers had tried and failed to move this load across the road.

Rotary drum / industrial dryer
Dimensions: 41’ x 13’ x 13’2”
Weight: 305,186 lbs.

The outcome
GTI USA reached out to fellow operating unit Precision Specialized for assistance in planning and managing this move. Precision developed a transportation plan to move the dryer and together, GTI USA and Precision presented the plan to the client. Our client accepted the plan on the spot.

Scope of work
Route: East Moline, IL to Regina, SK

• Modular trailer to transport the dryer two miles away to the railside
• Load and secure dryer onto railcar
• Transport by rail to Regina
• Unload railcar
• Transport by modular trailer six miles to client site
