- Initial oversized load information
- Don't assume all pieces are the same!
- Freight description: what is the equipment, what is the value of each piece
- Photographs: take clear and detailed photos of each piece of freight
- Freight dimensions: measure length, width and height (to the inch) of each piece, and verify and record each measurement
- Freight weight: obtain, double-check and record weight (in pounds) of each piece
- Schematics or load drawings: include center of gravity (COG) and verify all measurements listed match physical measurements
- Origin and destination
- Confirm exact pickup location: note special loading requirements and if possible, provide site map
- Confirm exact delivery location: note special unloading requirements and if possible, provide site map
- Delivery deadlines
- Provide project timeline and schedule of necessary delivery dates and times
- Special instructions
- Note if freight will need weather protection (i.e., tarps)
- Dunnage and securement points: note any special points on freight
