Autonomous vehicles have hit the roads in tests and made headlines recently, but what about autonomous trucks?
Recently, Channel 2 Houston interviewed The GTI Group Strategic Advisor Brian Fielkow to get his perspective on autonomous trucks. Brian contends that we are decades away from truly driver-less trucks. Instead, technology will redefine the role of the driver, not replace him/her.
Just as airplanes still have pilots in the cockpit, even if much of the flying is automated, so will trucks -- a safety driver.
