Recently, Channel 2 Houston interviewed Jetco Delivery CEO and THE GTI GROUP Executive VP Brian Fielkow to get his perspective on autonomous trucks. Brian contends that we are decades away from truly driver-less trucks. Instead, technology will redefine the role of the driver, not replace him/her.
Just as airplanes still have pilots in the cockpit, even if much of the flying is automated, so will trucks — a safety driver.
